Members of the Family
Family is the basic unit of the society. Each family is composed of different members.
Let us meet the members of the family.
Each family member has its role. Let's take a look on the different roles within the family.
This is the father. He is the head of the family. He works for the family and he also the one who fix all the broken things at home.


This is Mother. She takes care of the family. She cooks meals. She do the household chores.


This is Brother. He helps the father in fixing broken things inside the house.
Other members of the family are Grandfather and Grandmother.

Grandfather and Grandmother help the family.

Students will examine their family in order to create a family tree.
Materials
- butcher paper
- drawing utensils
- pictures of each family members
Method
- Take a look on the teacher's presentation of her own family tree.
- Talk to your parents and gather all the pictures of each family members.
- Create a colorful tree using the butcher paper and drawing utensils. Be creative enough in doing this.
- Arrange the pictures of each member inside the family tree.
- Present your work in front of the class.

At the end of the lesson pupils have:
- Recognized each members of the family.
- Understand the different roles and responsibilities of each family members.

They dont mind helping their parents in doing simple things inside their homes. I think this post can help children's awareness regarding their roles in the family.
